2016 Tournament Schedule

-Hello everyone, hope you all had a good Thanksgiving. 

-I have our tournament schedule here and barring any unforeseeable circumstances,
they are pretty set. Each team is playing in 6 tournaments, however, if one tournament we are hosting doesn't fill up, it may drop to 5.

-We are hosting Feb 13 Volley Valentine, March 5 Spikaroo, and March 26 Spike Invitational. 

-I will designate a team Hotel on our away tournaments as soon as possible and you will be responsible to book the rooms after I announce them. We should know actual court assignment and start time the Wednesday before the tournament date.

-We will be trying on jersey sizes in the next couple of practices.

Dec 2 - Wednesday: All teams 6:30pm at Overton HS.
Dec 5 - Saturday: 13s-14s, 3-5pm. And 16s-17s, 5pm-7pm at Club West.
Dec 9 - Wednesday: All teams 6:30pm at Overton HS.
Dec 12 - Saturday: 13s-14s, 3-5pm. And 16s-17s, 5pm-7pm at Club West.
Dec 16 - Wednesday: All teams 6:30pm at Overton HS.
Dec 19 -  Scrimmage at Club West. Times TBA.
(Edit) Then OFF until Wednesday January 6 at Overton: 13s, 14s, 16s at 6:30PM-8:30PM, 17s at 5PM-7PM

 

Spike Volleyball Tryouts will be on Oct 31st, 2015

Hello Everyone. Tryouts for the 2016 season for Spike Volleyball Club will be on Oct 31st, 2015 at Club West Gym. Address is: 

15115 Old Hickory Blvd. 
Nashville, TN 37211

12, 13, 14 year old and younger at: 1:30pm.
15, 16, 17 year old and older at : 3:00pm.

Tryout cost $20.

We will have a quick informational meeting before each session.

You can register with SRVA and bring the tryout waiver form or you can fill it out at the tryout. Do not pay SRVA membership fees. We will do that for you.

Come ready to play. You will also be measured for height, quickness and vertical.

This year, teams will play a minimum of 5 tournaments along with scrimmages with other teams.
We practice twice a week and 2 hrs per practice. 
Wednesdays will be at Overton HS, Saturdays will be at Club West Gym.
First day of practice is on November 7th.

Club dues this year is $650 total. $450 is due on first day of practice November 7th, and $200 is due on January 6th. This will pay for uniforms and club dues.
Half or our tourneys will be in Nashville, the other half may require overnight travel. You are responsible for travel and hotel cost.

Great Season Everyone

Sorry for the late post, but another Spike season has come and gone. Thank you to all the parents, players and coaches that made it happen. Great job to all the teams at Regionals. Congrats to coach Kristen and 16-1 team for placing 2nd in their pool on the first day of regionals. Great tournament for you guys! Good luck to everyone one their school volleyball season. Be on the look out for our tryouts next season. Until then, take care!
 


14U Made it to the Finals of Spike Invitational I on Feb 28.

After a slow start, the 14U coached by Coach Jay, won 4 games in a row to make it to the finals of the Spike Invitational I tournament on Feb. 28, 2015 where they lost 2 of 3 games and came in 2nd to Georgia Adrenaline, a 15U team. The team won only 1 game in their first tournament earlier in the season, then showed great improvement in their play and won 5 games on their 2nd tournament. Congratulations 14U, great job!

2014-15 Season Try Outs - October 25th and Nov. 1st, 2014

Hi everyone! Our try outs will be this Saturday, October 25th, 2014 and a make up tryout next Saturday Nov 1st, both at Club West gym.

14 year old and under at 3:00PM.
15 year old and above at 4:30PM.
Email us to reserve your spot. Try outs are $20. Come ready to play.

Club dues this year is $600 total.
$400 due at first practice on Nov 5th. The remaining $200 due January 7th.
Dues will also include SRVA membership and jersey.

13-1 and 16-1 placed 3rd overall at C4 Tourney

Both teams had their best finish of the season coming in 3rd this past weekend. The 13-1 coached by Courtney Plowden and Allison Rolston are making steady improvements. The 16-1 coached by Jay Umboh has also improved, from winning zero games in their first tourney, to 4 games and placing 2nd in silver div on their 2nd tourney, to winning 6 games and 3rd overall in their 3rd tourney. Congratulations!
